Biography

Julia Jordan has always been a natural in front of the camera. Her ability to express subtle and often vulnerable emotions through her intensely expressive blue eyes is something for which directors and fellow actors have consistently praised her.

As a determined and focused young actress, Julia landed her first feature film role at 8 years old as Mandy in “Dolphin Tale 2” where she grew as an actress surrounded by the talents of Morgan Freeman, Harry Connick Jr and Ashley Judd.  During filming, Director Charles Martin Smith chuckled while watching her on the monitor and said, “she just sparkles and lights up on camera!” A year later, she was thrilled to book the title role of Isa in the Emmy Award winning short film “Isa and the Frog Prince” for which she was nominated “Best Young Actress”  at Hollywood’s Young Artists Awards and  “Best Actress Under 18” at the 2016 Utah Film Awards.

Julia’s love of music and dance was also apparent from an early age.  Encouraged by her dance teachers to start taking voice lessons, Julia was soon performing in Equity Regional theatre productions. After her professional stage debut as Little Cosette in “Les Miserables”, she began auditioning and getting final call backs for principal roles on Broadway! Favorite professional roles include Jane Banks in “Mary Poppins”, Baby June in “Gypsy” and Debbie Wilkinson in “Billy Elliott”.

Julia also is a very passionate equestrian!  She rides and trains weekly and finds being around horses very therapeutic and an escape from all the stresses of everyday life as a normal teenage girl!
